Over the past few years we have seen not only a growth in the development of organized sports, but also a growth in the level of competition in youth sports in Nebraska and Iowa. For example, in 2008 you saw the merger of the Gladiator Soccer Club and Arsenal Soccer Club, the two premiere soccer clubs in the state. Why this merger? They wanted to develop the best soccer players in the state so their kids could make an immediate impact in high school and go on to play in college. The wrestling community is like no other sports community! We are more like a fraternity, a brotherhood, we are like family because we understand the hard work, the commitment and sacrifices necessary to develop individual champions and championship teams. We think it’s time as a wrestling community to elevate the development of youth wrestling and strengthen our community commitment to preparing kids to wrestle at the high school and collegiate level.
